Agricultural Commodities Buy Requirement from Syrian Arab Republic - 03-Sep-2025

We kindly request to be informed if you are interested
in supplying 200000 metric tons of soft white bread
Wheat for Syria.
If you are able to secure this quantity, please confirm
so that we can proceed with purchasing the official
tender documents and submitting the offer. Below are
the required technical specifications:
Wheat Specifications
1. Name of Variety and Type: Soft bread wheat for
milling (last season?s crop).
2. Specific Gravity: Minimum 77 kg/hl; acceptable
down to 76 kg/hl with a 1% discount for every 1%
decrease. Goods below this limit are rejected.
(Measured with a ? liter chopper device).
3. Moisture Content: Maximum 13%. Acceptable up to
14% with a 1% discount for every 0.5% above 13%.
Goods above 14% are rejected.
4. Foreign Matter (Gravity Impurities): Maximum 1%,
acceptable up to 2% with a deduction of 1%. Goods
above 2% are rejected. Includes all materials passing
through a slotted sieve (1mm ? 20mm) such as
gravel, dust, straw, weed seeds (including darnel and
bitterweed), insects (all stages), and other foreign
species except barley and triticale.
5. Damaged Wheat: Kernels that are fully damaged,
insect-infested, or fungus-infected (except black
point), or fully discolored are considered impurities.
Impurities
Total Impurities: Maximum 4%, acceptable up to 5%
with a 1% deduction for each 1% above the limit.
Goods above 5% are rejected.
Shrunken/Broken Kernels: Kernels passing through a
1.7mm 20mm slotted sieve.
Unsound Wheat Kernels: Frost-damaged, sunn pest
affected, unripe, partially bored, sprouted, or kernels
with head discoloration (black bunt).
Sunn Pest Infested Kernels: Maximum 1%,
acceptable up to 1.5% with a deduction of 1% for
every 0.5% above the limit. Goods above 1.5% are
rejected.
Sprouted Grains: Maximum 1%. Goods above 1% are
rejected.
Barley (all types and varieties) and Triticale: Not
accepted.
Other Specifications
6. Protein Content: Minimum 11.5% (dry matter basis,
N 5.7). Acceptable down to 11% with a 3% deduction
per 1% decrease. Goods below 11% are rejected.
7. Falling Number: Minimum 250 seconds. Goods
below this value are rejected.
8. radioactivity: Maximum 150 Bq (becquerel). Goods
Above This Limit Are Rejected.
9. General Quality: Wheat must be sound, have a
natural smell, free from mold, clumping, live insects
(in all stages), and suitable for human consumption. It
must also comply with current Syrian plant quarantine
laws and regulations.
10. Additional Note: The buyer is not obliged to
provide any compensation if the seller delivers wheat
with better specifications.
