We need to cover our Solar Panels / Collectors with a
PP Sheet cover which should be UV resistant, for a
long life.
Weight related decision has to be taken by you,
although we are looking for economical option
which sustain a long life under sun .

Overall Collector Dimension: 1941 x 1027 x 83
mm ( to be covered) ? Picture attached for
double collector system.
Aperture Area 1.86 m2
300L system= 2 collector
180L system = 1 colelctor

Design conditions
1. Dimensions & Coverage
Base Cover Size:
Length: 2000 mm
Width: 1100 mm
This provides a 20?30 mm overlap on all sides for
better protection and securing room.

Depth Accommodation:
The cover should have edge seams of approx.
90 mm to fully wrap around the 83 mm depth
of the panel.
Final Cover Shape:
Box-like flexible cover (like a fitted rectangular
pillowcase)
One open end with adjustable fastening
(tie or Velcro)

2. Material
Fabric Type: UV-stabilized Polypropylene (PP)
GSM (thickness): 150?200 GSM (suitable for
outdoor use)
Color: Light grey or reflective silver (to reduce
heat absorption)
Coating: Optional lamination or UV additive for
prolonged durability

3. Fastening Options
End Ties (Horizontal
Horizontal ties along the width at both top and
bottom edges
Material: UV-resistant webbing or PP cord
Velcro Option:
25?30 mm wide industrial-grade Velcro stitched along:
One long side (length)

Advantage: Quicker installation/removal
